		<description><![CDATA[Putting libraries on the radar of our legislators is itself a vital part of advocacy (it&#039;s surprising how many of them do not connect library with education, let alone library with job-finding).  Waving that banner is good for all libraries (including academic ones).

Plus it&#039;s fun to walk in the corridors of power.

		<description><![CDATA[Thanks for your leadership on the funding initiative.  I&#039;m disappointed by the response to our proposal.  The relationship between the dues rate and the reimbursement rate can be summed up as follows:  good programming costs money, whether you&#039;re ACRL National or a local chapter of ACRL, and those costs are on the rise.  It&#039;s very unfortunate that the board chose not to acknowledge the fact that ACRL and local chapters face similar challenges as we pursue our shared mission of supporting those who work for academic libraries.]]></description>
