We’ve asked the ACRL 2017 Conference scholarship recipients to describe the impact of attending the ACRL 2017 Conference on their professional life and/or their library.

Curtis TenneyCurtis S. Tenney is a student at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.

At the Helm: Leading Transformation—What an apt title to describe the 2017 ACRL Conference in Baltimore. As a student scholarship recipient, I am so very thankful for the support that made my attendance and participation possible. This was my first national conference experience, and what an experience it was. The conference was a reaffirming experience for my passion and career choice in library and information work, especially the people. Particularly, I benefited from the networking opportunities to meet with the many, many ARCL members that attended. I am now excited to see a familiar name from a tweet or email and think, ‘Hey, I met that awesome person!’ I am looking forward to ACRL 2019. “
