We’ve asked the ACRL 2017 Conference scholarship recipients to describe the impact of attending the ACRL 2017 Conference on their professional life and/or their library.
Jordan Moore is a reference librarian at the Atlanta University Center in Atlanta, GA.
“I had the good fortune of receiving a scholarship for the 2017 ACRL Conference. The days I spent in Baltimore were incredible valuable to my professional development. I was able to attend workshops and panels that have already helped me perform in my current position, as well as sessions that have motivated me to consider what I hope to achieve in the future. The most inspirational moments of the conference were the keynote speeches of Roxanne Gay and Carla Hayden. These moving lectures gave me so much to think about as I consider my role as a librarian and a citizen of the United States. I am forever grateful that I was able to attend this conference at such a pivotal moment in this profession and this country.”
