We’ve asked the ACRL 2017 Conference scholarship recipients to describe the impact of attending the ACRL 2017 Conference on their professional life and/or their library.

Roberto ArteagaRoberto A. Arteaga is a library fellow and lecturer at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN.

“The ACRL Conference in Baltimore was a great chance to connect with other librarians and to listen to their ideas and perspectives. This was my first time attending ACRL, and I am incredibly thankful for the Early-Career Librarian Scholarship I received because it allowed me to experience the effect that a conference like ACRL can have. I was unsure what to expect from a conference this size, but the sessions and the people made the experience worth it.
I urge others to apply, whether you are presenting or not.”
