We’ve asked the ACRL 2017 Conference scholarship recipients to describe the impact of attending the ACRL 2017 Conference on their professional life and/or their library.

Judith SchwartzJudith Schwartz is an assistant professor and reference and resource sharing librarian at Medgar Evers College, the City University of New York in Brooklyn, NY.

“The ACRL Early-Career Librarian Scholarship enabled me to attend my first ACRL conference. I was particularly interested in the poster sessions, attended workshops, and vendor luncheons. It was great to hear about new up-and-coming products relevant to my position. The keynote speakers were excellent; I am a big David McCandless fan and was enamored with Roxane Gay and Carla Hayden. ACRL did a great job getting scholarship recipients together for networking events; I met librarians from around the world. Thank you ACRL for the opportunity to be there!”
