We’ve asked the ACRL 2017 Conference scholarship recipients to describe the impact of attending the ACRL 2017 Conference on their professional life and/or their library.
Paula S. Kiser is an instruction and e-resources librarian at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA.
“Attending ACRL helped give me new ideas about how the library can serve underrepresented student groups on my campus and informed me about exciting upcoming professional development opportunities in the digital humanities. The conference reinvigorated me; being around other people who support and contribute to student and faculty learning and research is exhilarating. I work at a very small library so I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to other librarians who share my interest in digital humanities.”
