Charge:
To gather and promote information literacy standards and curricula developed by accrediting agencies, professional associations, and institutions of higher education. The Committee publishes this information on its Information Literacy in the Disciplines Guide within the ACRL Web site. The Committee reviews and updates the Guide at least annually and considers users’ suggestions for materials to include, basing its decisions on the criteria for inclusion for the project.
Annual Planning:
View planning documents such as annual goals, measuring success reports, or annual reports by selecting the appropriate report from the IS Archive.
Meetings:
This committee meets virtually. An Introductory meeting takes place near the start of the term, either during the Summer or early Fall. This is followed by a meeting around the time of the ALA Midwinter Meeting and then another one prior to the ALA Annual Conference. Most meetings are open to visitors.
