<\/b>To review and recommend potential revisions to the<\/span> Roles & Strengths of Teaching Librarians<\/span><\/a>. Possible approaches include, but are not limited to, literature reviews, surveys, and other methods of review and feedback. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/b>Two years (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2027). Year one is for review and recommendation of potential revisions, and year two for making revisions to the document. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/b>– <\/b>A group of 8 members from IS is recommended to work on the review and revision process.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/b>In the first year,<\/span> a report detailing the process and methods used, the findings of this work, and if revisions are recommended. The second year is reserved for revisions to the document as needed. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/b>The group will have access to a liaison from the IS Executive Committee and a liaison from the ACRL Standards Committee as a resource while working through the<\/span> standards processes<\/span><\/a>. IS leadership will also meet with Task Force leadership at the start of the program year. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/b>In 2025, ACRL requested IS undertake the review and revision process for the <\/span>Roles & Strengths of Teaching Librarians<\/span><\/a> document due to the time that has lapsed since last review (<\/span>https:\/\/www.ala.org\/acrl\/resources\/policies\/chapter14<\/span><\/a>). The current Roles & Strengths of Teaching Librarians document “is intended to help both clarify roles which may be assumed by a proficient teaching librarian and inspire new roles” and is “based in actual experience and aspirational in nature.”<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
