ACRL 75th Anniversary Scholarship Campaign: Kick Start the Future
In March 2015, 3,500 academic and research librarians will be immersed in the best and most innovative thinking about how to serve their higher education communities. But many of our members who need this experience the most will not be there—and their voices will be missed. Many ACRL members are new librarians and library students who can least afford to attend ACRL’s premier professional development offering—the ACRL 2015 Conference.
ACRL seeks to raise $50,000 by December 31, 2014, to provide 75 additional scholarships for these members to attend the conference to be held March 25-28, 2015, in Portland, Oregon. We’ve already raised more than $33,000 during the advance phase of the campaign. Now we invite you to pay it forward and invest in the profession’s future leaders (and their libraries) as they seek to advance learning and transform scholarship in the 21st century. With your contribution (of any amount), we can ensure the future vitality of the profession, the association, and the diversity of our conference.
ACRL expresses its sincere appreciation to the 75th Anniversary Scholarship Campaign donors. Their support enables ACRL to build the skills and capacities of the next generation to serve our profession and association. We thank these individuals for joining the Kick Start the Future Campaign.
Thank you to all of the ACRL groups which are raising money to support the campaign. More information on individual group goals and progress is available on the fundraising goals page.
