The September 30, 2022, nomination deadline for the I Love My Librarian Award is fast approaching! The I Love My Librarian Award encourages library users to recognize the accomplishments of exceptional public, school, college, community college, or university librarians. Ten outstanding librarians will receive $5,000 and the honor of a lifetime, including being celebrated on stage at ALA’s LibLearnX Conference in New Orleans in January 2023. Honorees will also receive complimentary LibLearnX registration as part of their award packages as well as a $750 travel stipend.

Since the award was established in 2008, 140 librarians have received this distinguished honor. In that time, library users nationwide have shared more than 22,000 nominations detailing how librarians have gone above and beyond in their commitment to inclusivity, literacy, and digital access.
