ACRL in Second Life – Tools for Libraries

The ACRL in Second Life group will meet again this Saturday, September 20, at 8 AM SLT (Pacific) in Second Life on ALA Island. Alexandria Knight/Esther Grassian will speak on tools available at the ICT Library on Info Island and Abbey Zenith/Rhonda Trueman will talk about the tools developed for library use by Bucky Barkley of Buckaroos, located on Eduisland 4. These tools, presented by Alexandria and Abbey, include a whiteboard, seating that allows students to raise their hands, SLoodle tool bar, web monitors that connect the user to aprox. 30 URLs, signs that rotate pictures for exhibits and give out landmarks and notecards, Virtual Reality Rooms, and more! Take advantage of this chance to learn and share your favorite SL tools.
