Describe yourself in three words: Creative, determined, free spirited.

What are you reading (or listening to on your mobile device)? As a curriculum librarian, I am reading George M. Johnson’s We Are Not Broken.

Describe ACRL in three words: Growth, interconnectedness, progress.

What do you value about ACRL? I appreciate the variety of programming, from theory to practice. It allows me to expand my thinking and cultivate opportunities to transfer those ideas to my work environment and service philosophy

What do you as an academic librarian contribute to your campus? I think I’m a facilitator for change at my organization.

In your own words: The best part about working as an academic library is being in an environment where creating and questioning ideas is a given. As a librarian, I love being a part of the process by promoting and procuring resources to facilitate knowledge production. Working in a curriculum library gives me the opportunity to learn and work in multiple worlds: with researchers, students, practitioners, and the university community. I also get to play. For example, I dabble in picture books and math manipulatives to help pre-service, yet also understand the best practice to use from theory.
