The ACRL Immersion Program is all new for 2018! Immersion ’18 will take place from July 29-August 3, 2018, at the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Immersion ’18 is an intensive, five day program designed for those who contribute to the educational role of libraries in higher education. The curriculum is built upon four cornerstones: critical reflective practice, design thinking, leadership, and information literacy. The curriculum will include a range of activities, from keynotes that lay a foundation to group work with opportunities for discussion, hands-on activities, peer-to-peer feedback, and a capstone experience.
The central focus of the program is critical reflective practice that enables each participant to develop solutions and strategies that best meet their individual and institutional needs. The program is designed for participants with any level of experience in libraries. We invite anyone who would like to reflect upon, extend, and deepen their practice as an educator in libraries, regardless of particular job function or title, to join an engaged group of colleagues and faculty facilitators for this week of intensive learning and engagement.
Registration is now open and May 4, 2018 is the registration deadline. A limited number of scholarships are available for the program.
