Jennifer K. Sheehan Named RBM Reviews Editor

Jennifer K. Sheehan of the Grolier Club has been appointed to the post of Reviews Editor of RBM: A Journal of Rare Books, Manuscripts, and Cultural Heritage, ACRL’s journal covering issues pertaining to special collections libraries and cultural heritage institutions. Sheehan will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2020.

“Amy Cary’s sterling service as RBM Reviews Editor concludes at the end of the current appointment cycle,” said RBM Editor Richard Saunders of Southern Utah University. “The editorial board and ACRL Publication Coordination Committee approved the appointment of former RBM editor Dr. Jennifer Sheehan to fill the vacancy after an open search. I am grateful for Amy’s service and Jennifer’s willingness to step in to serve one of the key functions of a scholarly journal.”

“Reviews are a great way for experienced professionals to stay current with the professional literature and are an opportunity for students and new professionals to ‘get their feet wet’ with scholarly publication,” Sheehan added. “As Reviews Editor for RBM, I’m looking forward to working with Editor Richard Saunders on bringing a range of voices from the cultural heritage community into the journal.”

Currently Exhibitions and Communications Manager at the Grolier Club, Sheehan brings a wealth of experience to the position, including serving as RBM editor from 2014 to 2017, as a member of the journal editorial board since 2013, and as a reviewer for five additional journals.
