National Library Legislative Day 2026

Fifty years after the first National Library Legislative Day, ALA’s Public Policy and Advocacy (PPA) team invites advocates to show up for America’s libraries on Capitol Hill for a two-day educational advocacy event.

The event will take place February 25-26, 2026, at the Marriott Courtyard Washington DC Downtown/Convention Center. The event combines advocacy education, networking, and in-person meetings with your legislators and congressional staff on Capitol Hill.

Learn more on the ALA website and complete the Interest Form by December 12, 2025, to be considered for the event. Capacity is limited to 235 participants and completing the Interest Form does not guarantee a spot. For questions or updates, email nlld@alawash.org.
