New Roles and Changing Landscapes Committee Emerging Roles Survey

ACRL’s New Roles and Changing Landscapes goal-area committee is conducting a survey that will explore the emerging roles of academic librarians, including add-on roles and flexible assignments. The survey is intended to benchmark the functions of these roles and identify training needs; determine librarians’ job satisfaction relative to the new and emerging roles; evaluate the impact librarians believe their role is having on the academic enterprise; and provide employment indicators for librarians in the workforce or entering the workforce in order that they be better positioned to make informed career choices. Your participation in this research is completely voluntary. All data collected will remain anonymous and confidential. The survey will close Friday, July 28, 2023.
