Request for Feedback: ACRL Standards for Distance and Online Learning Library Services Draft

Now more than ever before, academic libraries have embraced online services and resources. Having a set of Standards that are practical, applicable, concise, and easy to understand to guide Distance and Online Learning Library Services is essential to our work.

The ACRL Distance and Online Learning Section (DOLS) Standards Committee is requesting your feedback on the Draft of the revised Standards for Distance and Online Learning Library Services. This draft is entirely re-written and was completed over the course of 3 DOLS committee cycles. Here are the draft highlights and a brief summary of the committee’s work. The Committee is following procedures for updates and open comment period laid out by the ACRL Standards committee, found here.

Please take some time to review the new Standards and complete the feedback survey. You may find it useful to compare the New Version with the Old Version as you provide feedback.

Please respond to the Feedback Survey by 5/26/2022.

Your input is highly valued and will help the Committee fine-tune the draft before it is finalized.

Thank you in advance on behalf of the DOLS Standards Committee,
