- Big thanks to Deb and Dick for making the first issue of the newsletter look so nice and so organized! Also to Dick for contributing so much great content to the issue.
III. Sections of newsletter – what worked well and what needs improvement
- Message from the Chair (Hélène Huet)
- Give the Chair more time in the future
- News
- All news entries were lumped together into one section. It would be nice to break it into more specific categories, such as reports from GNARP, SEEMP, CIFNAL, ASEEES, AIFBD, SALALM, WESLINE, etc.
- Add a distinct section for short news reviews
- Add a distinct section for newly available research tools, collections, databases, etc.
- Make news subcategories more visible in the call for submissions
- Humor
- Collect humorous book titles
- Submit content through a Google form so all of it can be gathered in one place and then distributed between editors
IV. Timeline for Spring 2022 Newsletter
- Call for submissions – ready by Communications and Publications committee meeting
- Submissions due March 31, 2022
V. Next steps
- Tweak call for submissions (by 2/8)
- Create a google form (by 2/8, so it can be added to call for submissions)
- Check in meeting March 4, 2022. Depending on the number of submissions, editors can be distributed as needed
- Send second call for submissions
