WESS Dinner Cruise in Atlanta, Georgia
Sunday, June 16, 2002, 6-9PM

The WESS “Cruise” has become a tradition. What to do in land-locked Atlanta? It turns out we can still have a cruise this summer, on lovely Stone Mountain Lake! Our riverboat, the Henry W. Grady, is a genuine stern paddle wheeler that can easily accommodate up to 300 people.

The buffet will feature chef-carved turkey and roast beef, rolls, Hawaiian chicken kabobs, vegetable, fruit and seafood trays, finger sandwiches, cheese and crackers, dill cheese puffs, soft drinks and iced tea. We will also have the usual cash bar. Adding to the fun will be Georgia’s own bluegrass/cajun/celtic musician Danny Ray Cole with his band.

Come and bring your friends and family. This event promises to be fun and decidedly different!

Price per person is $30. The ticket price includes the buffet, soft drinks, and transportation from and to downtown Atlanta by bus (a 30 minute ride each way). Directions for those wanting to drive there will be published later.

New WESS and SEES members who joined since June 2001 may qualify for a free ticket. Ten are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For details contact Helene Baumann.
