ALCTS Online Chat about Residencies & Fellowships Opportunities

ALCTS Logo The Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) New Member Interest Group is hosting an online chat on Residency and Fellowship opportunities that may be of interest to those in the ACRL Residency Interest Group.

December 4th from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. EST and is open to all ALA members.

The job market can be a tough place for new professionals who are trying to break into the field of librarianship. Landing the dream job might not occur immediately but there are other great short term opportunities that can help you jumpstart a career. This chat will expose these “other” opportunities such as fellowships, librarian residences, and internships. Discussion topics that will be covered during this chat include how these “other” opportunities work and the benefits of choosing this type of employment.

Please come with your questions and be prepared for an informative session.

Hosts:

Heylicken “Hayley” Moreno, ALCTS ANMIG Member-at-Large

Julie Housknecht, ALCTS ANMIG Secretary.
