The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Library, the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Library, and the University of Southern California (USC) Libraries have recently posted Resident Archivist positions to contribute to IMLS grant-funded program: LA as Subject.
Each institution will each host and mentor a Resident Archivist for a 2 year appointment. The resident will gain experience in working with community archives to assess and/or complete digital projects.
The program will train 3 recent MLIS graduates as well as staff and volunteers at 30 L.A. as Subject member archives in skills related to digital collections management and help to facilitate digital library projects by LAAS members for national digital platforms such as the Digital Public Library of America.
