Date: Monday, March 23, 2020, 3-4 PM Eastern
Description: Second career librarians, Symphony Bruce, Resident Librarian at American University and Lorin Jackson, Research and Instruction Resident Librarian at Swarthmore College, offer insight into their journeys to academic librarianship from being formerly in the education field. By discussing the advantages and challenges of integrating previous experiences into possible librarianship roles, we hope to explore together the ways we can leverage our time outside of libraries in various workplaces to our careers within libraries.
