Scholarly Communication in LIS: A Feminist Analysis

As part of the project to revise the Research Agenda for Women and Gender Studies Librarianship, Jennifer Hootman, the Digital Humanities Librarian at the University of Kentucky, and Lizzy Walker, the Metadata and Digital Initiatives Librarian at Wichita State University, have conducted a literature review of research studies published since 2010 on gender inequity in scholarly communication in LIS. To read their summary of this research and their questions for future research, see the Scholarly Communication page on the Research Agenda.

Thank you so much to Jennifer and Lizzy for this important work in moving research in our field forward! We encourage you to use the questions for future research to inspire your own investigation and writing.
