Executive Committee
The Arts Section provides an umbrella organization for the promotion of library service in the field of visual and performing arts through discussion of current issues, the exchange of information, and the carrying out of suitable projects.

Strategic Planning Committee
To develop short and long-term strategies to address the needs of Section members identified by survey and other means.

Nominating Committee 
To identify and recommend a slate of candidates for annual Section officer elections, providing the Executive Committee with the completed forms and statements required of candidates and officers.

Membership and Outreach Committee
To recruit, orient, survey and welcome new members. To provide reports to the Executive Committee identifying membership trends and needs. To enhance communication and networking among members of similar interests, especially for those not attending the annual conference. To attempt to persuade withdrawing and former section members to re-join.

Programming Committee
To plan and provide one or more programs, events, or other offerings annually that support the professional growth and scholarly/creative endeavors of the Arts Section’s members, and that engage with current issues in academic visual and performing arts library work. Duties may include: soliciting ideas; identifying program topics; seeking, selecting, and communicating with speakers; planning for and requesting funds; promoting programs; and assessing programs.
