Call for Facilitators: ACRL Immersion Program

The ACRL Information Literacy Program is recruiting a cohort of 3-5 new facilitators to help our current team further develop and facilitate our program. Now in its twenty-sixth year, the Immersion Program brings together academic librarians for three days of intensive work in teaching and information literacy. Through a critical examination of information literacy, teaching and learning, and influence and leadership, the Immersion program curriculum aims to develop critically reflective practitioners who go on to enact change in their practice, projects, or personal and professional goals. With more than 3,100 graduates, the Immersion Program has transformed instruction programs nationally and internationally.

The program is looking for individuals with a diverse range of experiences, skills, and knowledge who are committed to transformative professional development and advancing a curriculum grounded in critical reflective practice and the educational role of libraries in higher education. There are no fixed requirements or long list boxes to check for selection as an Immersion Program Facilitator. This is a chance to co-learn and contribute to one of ACRL’s most impactful programs.

Complete details are available in the full Call for Facilitators on the ACRL website. Applications must be electronically submitted by 5:00 p.m. Pacific on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
